Description
For sale is your choice of Amphenol #26-190-24 connector set, single item or combination. These are 24-pin rack & panel Blue Ribbon connectors, with gold contacts. The connectors were left behind in the electronics components of my late father, who was a radio and other electronics serviceman for many years, and then became involved in electronics research projects. I am guessing that these components were left behind after a project, or that he purchased them as "seconds," as the plug has a defect. All his components were stored in a dry, smoke-free environment. Three of the receptacles are new old stock, and three have been used. The used ones show residue of solder, but they are still basically clean. The other two used sets are clean of solder, but you can tell that some of the tabs may have been used, but should serve like new. However, they do not appear to be brand new. I have set up the listing to offer some different combinations, to make it simpler if you want several pieces. This is what I have set up: 1. Plug and receptacle, used, with solder residue (see photos) 2. Plug and receptacle, used, with solder residue (see photos) D. Receptacle with light solder residue + mating plug (see Application Note below) E. Receptacle with light solder and wires to de-solder + mating plug (see Application below) F. Lot of 3 #26-159-24 plugs (see Application Note below) Application Note: The matching plugs are Amphenol 26 Series plugs, #26-159-24. All of the plugs appear to be new old stock, but with a minor product flaw. The #7 and #19 terminals are defective, with the tips of the contacts severed, most likely in production. My husband tested the connections, and when this plug is engaged with the mating receptacle (#26-190-24), there is electrical continuity. However, the contact engagement area would be diminished. (The buyer must decide if that will affect the user's application.) The imperfection of the #7 and #19 terminals does not affect the quality of the remaining 22 terminals. I used some information found on line to help you see if this is the part that you need: Series: 26 Gender: Socket/Jack No. of Contacts: 24 No. of Rows: 2 NSN: 5935-00-201-3952 Pitch Spacing: 4.32mm Contact Gender: Socket Connector Mounting: Cable~Chassis Contact Termination: Solder Contact Material: Brass Contact Plating: Gold (over copper-nickel) Wire Size 16 Overall Length 3.25" Pin Length 0.375" Voltage Rating 750 Volts Current Rating 5A Pin Polarization - For blind mating situations... pins mate before contacts for perfect alignment. This connector provides rugged, heavy duty interconnections where larger gauge wires must be used and size is not a limiting factor. Plugs and receptacles are molded of high-impact diallyl phthalate dielectric with molded-in mounting plates of corrosion-resistant passivated stainless steel. Receptacles have float mount bushings which provide .028" radial movement for perfect alignment. Contacts are gold-plated over nickel with solder eyelet tails. Millions of Blue Ribbon Connectors are used in industrial controls, mobile radios, instruments and test equipment, oscilloscopes, video tape recorders, computer control equipment, TV cameras, data displays, communications equipment, and many other applications requiring high reliability. I hope that one or more of these connectors are ones that you are looking for to work with in YOUR projects!! (If buying more than one set, don't pay yet, but request a combined shipping discount. I'll send an invoice with the best reduced shipping price for you.) Thanks for looking here!! (Amphenol shelves)
